Privacy Policy
Effective August 21, 2026
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy is issued by 1773 Human Resources & Marketing Services LTD (“1773,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a recruitment and HR consultancy registered in Ghana and operating the 1773 platform at 1773hrconsultancy.com, including our website, candidate/employer/agency dashboards, and our WhatsApp assistant.
This policy explains what personal data we collect from candidates, employers, and agencies who use the platform, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices available to you.
2. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Candidate information: name, contact details, date of birth, gender, hometown, work history, education, skills, salary expectations, CV/resume files, profile photo, and any information you share with our WhatsApp assistant during onboarding.
- Employer and agency information: company or agency name, contact person, work email and phone number, industry, company size, hiring needs, office address, and job or talent request details you submit.
- Payment information: when you pay for a job posting, candidate package, or other paid feature through Paystack, we receive confirmation of the transaction (amount, status, reference) from Paystack. We do not collect or store your full card number, PIN, or banking credentials; these are entered directly with Paystack, our payment processor.
- Communications: messages sent through our contact form, the platform's in-app messaging between candidates and employers, and messages exchanged with our WhatsApp Business number, including conversations with our automated assistant and handoffs to our staff.
- Usage information: pages visited, actions taken on the platform (such as job applications, saved candidates, or unlocked profiles), device and browser information, and similar technical data collected automatically as you use the site.
3. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your candidate, employer, or agency account and profile.
- Match candidates to relevant job openings and help employers find suitable candidates.
- Process job postings, talent requests, and paid transactions, and send related receipts and confirmations.
- Operate our WhatsApp assistant, including onboarding, application status updates, and anti-scam checks, and to route conversations to a staff member when needed.
- Send account, application, and transactional notifications by email or WhatsApp, based on your notification preference.
- Verify employer legitimacy and maintain the safety and integrity of the platform, including preventing fraud and scam job postings.
- Improve our services, troubleshoot issues, and understand how the platform is used.
- Meet our legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations.
4. Who we share information with
We do not sell personal data. We share information only as needed to operate the platform, specifically with:
- Employers and agencies, who can see a candidate's full profile once the candidate applies directly to their posting, or once the employer/agency pays to unlock the candidate's details from our wider database.
- Candidates, who can see the details of the employer or agency inviting them to interview or making a talent request.
- Service providers who help us run the platform, including our hosting and database provider, our payment processor (Paystack), our email delivery provider, and Meta, as the provider of the WhatsApp Business Platform through which our assistant operates.
- Law enforcement or regulators, where we are required to do so by law, or where necessary to investigate fraud, protect the safety of platform users, or enforce our Terms of Service.
5. Data retention
We keep candidate, employer, and agency account information for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution needs. You can request that we delete your account and associated personal data at any time, subject to information we are required to keep by law (such as payment records).
6. Your rights and choices
Depending on your relationship with us, you can:
- Access, correct, or update your profile information directly from your dashboard at any time.
- Choose your notification channel (email, WhatsApp, or SMS where available).
- Ask us to delete your account and personal data, or to provide a copy of the data we hold about you, by contacting us using the details below.
- Opt out of marketing communications, such as our newsletter, at any time using the unsubscribe option in those messages.
7. Data security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted data storage, access controls limiting who at 1773 can view sensitive information, and secure handling of payment transactions through Paystack. No method of storing or transmitting data online is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to respond quickly if a security issue arises.
8. Children's privacy
The 1773 platform is intended for jobseekers who are legally eligible to work. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age required to work in Ghana. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us so we can remove it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as our platform and services evolve. We will update the effective date at the top of this page when we do, and, where changes are significant, we will take reasonable steps to notify registered users.
