About this Role
A reputable restaurant in Spintex is looking for a reliable, honest and customer-friendly Cashier to join its team. This is a full-time role, and applicants must be willing to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process customer payments accurately
- Operate the restaurant's Point-of-Sale (POS) system to record orders and process payments
- Issue receipts and provide the correct change
- Record and monitor daily sales
- Handle cash, mobile money and other approved payment methods
- Reconcile cash and POS sales records at the end of each shift
- Assist with taking and confirming customer orders
- Report cash shortages, discrepancies or POS-related issues to the supervisor
- Provide friendly and professional customer service
Requirements
- Previous experience as a cashier, preferably in a restaurant, chop bar, food service or retail environment
- Must be familiar with POS systems and Momo Transactions
- Must be honest, trustworthy and responsible
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Must be neat, punctual and well-mannered
- Ability to work accurately in a busy environment
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
