About this Role
A reputable hospitality establishment in Accra is looking for hardworking and reliable Kitchen Assistants to support its kitchen team. The ideal candidate is clean, quick and willing to learn, and helps keep the kitchen running smoothly at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash, peel and cut vegetables and other ingredients
- Assist cooks and chefs with basic food preparation
- Wash dishes, pots, utensils and kitchen equipment
- Keep the kitchen, floors and storage areas clean
- Receive and store deliveries correctly
- Dispose of waste properly and on time
- Follow food hygiene and safety rules at all times
- Assist with other duties assigned by the chef
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is an advantage
- Must be hardworking, honest and punctual
- Good understanding of basic hygiene and cleanliness
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Ability to work quickly in a busy environment
- Physically fit and able to stand for long periods
- Must be neat and presentable
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
