About this Role
A reputable household in East Legon is looking for a reliable and security-conscious Caretaker to take care of its property. The role covers general upkeep and basic maintenance, and suits a responsible, hardworking person who spots problems early and deals with them.
Key Responsibilities
- Take care of the house, compound and surrounding property daily
- Keep the compound, gardens, walkways and gutters clean and tidy
- Carry out basic maintenance tasks such as fixing taps, bulbs and door locks
- Check the property regularly for damage, leaks or security risks
- Open and close gates and keep track of who enters and leaves
- Report major repairs to the employer and supervise artisans when needed
- Look after tools, equipment and outdoor fixtures
- Help keep the property secure, especially when the family is away
Requirements
- Previous caretaker or household maintenance experience
- Ability to perform basic maintenance duties is an advantage
- Must be reliable, security-conscious and hardworking
- Must be honest and trustworthy
- Able to work independently with little supervision
- Physically fit and able to handle outdoor work
- Good communication skills for reporting issues promptly
- Must be punctual and responsible
